Substance Abuse Training
Employee and Supervisory Training

Several states require employee or supervisory training to comply with their respective drug-free-workplace statutes. Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that supervisors who directly manage DOT covered employees receive one hour of substance abuse training for all managers who directly supervise DOT covered employees.

MMS believes it is important to communicate company policies to employees, especially your managers and supervisors. MMS suggests a substance abuse awareness seminar for all supervisors, to ensure that everyone is "on the same page" in understanding the ramifications of DFWP. The agenda for this training includes a review of the company’s DFWP program, the drugs that are tested for, and advanced training of supervisors in how to detect reasonable suspicion cases in the workplace. Of course, the training can be further customized to meet your needs.
